Routing the hydraulic hoses that connect the Power Unit to the Fastlane requires some consideration. To avoid damage from lawn mowers and other equipment between the edge of the pool deck and the Power Unit, the hoses should be buried a few inches below ground level. They maybe buried directly but standard 2" polyethylene tubing can serve as a durable, maintenance-free conduit. If necessary, the hydraulic lines can be left aboveground. We realize that running these hoses across the pool deck may not be aesthetically pleasing. Therefore, EPI offers a rubber hose cover that is custom-molded for our Fastlane hoses. This rubber extrusion is the quickest and easiest way to manage the hoses as they cross the pool deck (See diagram #1). Another, more permanent option is to cut a channel 2" wide and 4" deep into the pool deck to accommodate our deck channel system. EPI includes covers for this channel in brushed aluminum, black, white, sand and grey (See diagram #2). A third alternative is to bury the hoses completely using 2" conduit and have them emerge under the escutcheon (See diagram #3). | ![]() |
